D Ford
Using human-centered design, D‑Ford helps Ford drive human progress through empathy, creativity and design. We are built to challenge assumptions, question the status quo, and provoke the imagination. Together, we are creating a future where things like mobility, autonomy and connectivity are flexible, memorable, mindful, and most of all, empowering.
D-Ford is a R&D lab focused on developing services, products, and visions for the future of mobility. A collaboration between IDEO and Ford, the lab uses Human Centered Design (HCD) methods to quickly prototype, co-create and engage with users, clients, and customers in the field.
As an interaction / communication designer, my role is to develop prototypes, storytelling, and insights that communicate our emerging design concepts - both in the field with users as well as to our corporate stakeholders. Leveraging my background in media arts, I have pushed the role of visual storytelling to bring our prototypes to life and explore user experience (UX) design in all of its multi-sensory richness. In addition, I continue to strengthen our core interaction design prototypes through storyboarding, wire-framing, and user interface design.
Main software: Figma, Adobe Suite (Premiere, Illustrator, etc.), Sketch
Projects I've worked on thus far:
Smart Vehicles - lead a team of designers, researchers, and engineers to create a vehicle simulator with a multi-sensory user interface. On an earlier project, I created storyboards and high-resolution concept videos for future connected services.
Smart World - created scenarios, forecasting, and concepts for future smart city strategies.
Micro-Mobility - created digital prototypes for physical urban displays and services around scooters.
COVID Services - lead a team to design services and coordinated the distribution of Ford-produced PPE during the COVID pandemic.
